Jennifer Garcia, PTA
Eight years ago, Jennifer came to Wichita & has worked for APT ever since. She received her PTA Degree and a 2nd Associates Degree at Amarillo College in Amarillo, Texas. Jennifer decided to become a PTA after her grandfather had had a stroke and didn’t like the PT’s that came to his home, he felt like they didn’t listen to him. Jennifer wanted people to know they are heard and can receive better care. In outpatient, Jennifer says she gets to know her patients on a more personal level. This is beneficial to the care they receive as she can tailor their treatments to fit their life. Jennifer really wanted to have a career where she could help people become better versions of themselves and be functional. Jennifer treats at our Aquatic Rehab clinic & loves the benefits the pool gives the patients after surgeries. Here, she specializes in ASTYM & Kinesio Taping but has also taken CEU’s for the low back & running.
When Jennifer is not busy treating patients, she & her husband of 12 years stay busy with their children. Together, they have Jennifer’s 20-year-old son, her husband’s 23-year-old daughter (who also has 2 children), an 11-year-old daughter, a baby in heaven, & 3 fur babies. Jennifer says her daughter is her hobby because of singing, dancing, modeling, & acting. Jennifer also loves to volunteer with various charities & participates in activities Wichita offers such as concerts, anything involving food, & the sports teams.
